Ok let’s try this again. Sarah (his rescuer) sent me the video in hopes it would help.

She wants me to share his story so more people
His name is Squiggy. He is around 9mo old and spent 7 or 8 mo in the care of his last owner without a UVB bulb or any calcium supplements.
Please share, Squiggy’s story so that people may see what harm they do by neglect. Save other dragons from meeting this fate.

This was last week. Here we have Stark sleeping in a Hardeez bag. When I tried to take his picture, he woke up and flipped over…  then continued to sleep.

Stark is my spirit animal.

I realize these photos may upset some people.
Well, good.
People need to see preventable harm. This is a beardie just rescued by a friend in Utah. He has a severe case of MBD (Metabolic bone disease). His legs are malformed and the back ones even bend the wrong way.
This is so simple. It could have been avoided if he has just had a UVB light. Not to mention he was living on sand.

Because of the miscare of his previous owner, he will suffer for the rest of his natural life. He has a pending vet appointment and will be fed major amounts of calcium supplements.
I’ll be praying for him.

his legs honest to god made me tear up. that is an absolute sin. he will never completely recover from that mistreatment. i hope he is able to improve to the max he can, though, and to live a good life.

I have the same reaction every time I see the horrors of abuse or neglect. I’ll update with his status when she does.

Every time I see this, or cases similar to this, I wonder if it would be more sympathetic to just put him down…But at the same time, I know this dragon will be much happier with the great care and love they’re going to receive now.
