The particular people I followed only complained about these released changes. I stand by my statement. Prices drop. The need to constantly harp on something is ridiculous. We get it. you no longer like Microsoft. Move along and calm down. No need to be fighting.
I am calm. I am also ambivalent about Microsoft as a company. This is purely a matter of “These decisions were very bad decisions that should not have been made in the first place”; disagreeing ≠ fighting. I am annoyed because poor executive decisions are making something that could otherwise be really good, into something fraught with problems that may make it not worth the purchase price. (This is basically what it feels like to be a fan of the Sims series. It’s good, but could be SO GREAT except EA making bad executive choices)
Yes, prices drop. But when the reason for the price is a piece of external hardware that isn’t necessary to play most games, it’s not the usual matter of “Console is $X on release date, wait 6 months and get it for $X-80”. It’s a matter of WHY the price is what it is. It would be like if a Wii came out that required you to pay extra for a bunch of odd specialty remotes you don’t really want and wouldn’t buy otherwise. The price for the console may drop, but it’s always going to be $console +$100 Kinect.

I question many of the choices EA does, well.. mot companies for that matter, but life goes on.But the thing is, how much of the Kinect can you REALLY disable and how much of it is really optional? That turns it from an optional into a kind of needed piece of hardware.
But even then, the hardware on the 360 is STILL inferior to the PS4, with or without the Kinect. It should still not be the astounding 100 dollars more, but 50 dollars more AT BEST. I’ve got my own issues with Microsoft, and what they’ve changed still doesn’t impress me. But that’s just me feeling like ‘Why be so incredibly forceful and firm on something and then turn around and change it?’ Because nothing changed before E3 or after, people still hated it. People still didn’t want it. But the numbers finally spoke to Microsoft. 4-5 TIMES the pre-orders of the PS4 over the One. And they realized how bad they fucked up.
I personally don’t want them to do well. Still. But I’m pretty sure I’m the small percentage on that because Microsoft has thrown their money around -yet again- and has gotten tons of exclusives or has gotten exclusives off of the PS4 to be on the One as well.
